Dr Hildebrandt will give an overview of the current and future trends in the field of Automation in Europe. The demand for increasing Production rates and also the need for flexibility to respond to customer requirements are changing the mechanical structures design, where simple kinematic structures and single belt, multi-axes systems are opening up exciting alternatives to Cartesian robots.

About the Speaker

Dr Alexander Hildebrandt is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ulm, Germany. He is responsible for R&D Mechatronics System at FESTO AG & Co. His key expertise are in the control and dimensioning of pneumatic, electrical and biomechanical drives.
